Grades

Education is overseen by provincial and territorial governments, which means curricula, school structures, and policies can differ across the country.    

              

•              Elementary School: Typically includes kindergarten to grade 6 (ages 5-12).

Focuses on foundational skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.                  

•              Secondary School: Generally covers grades 7 to 12 (ages 12-18).

Students work towards a high school diploma, which is often required for post-secondary education.                  

•              Post-Secondary Education: After high school, students can attend colleges, universities, or vocational schools.

Canada has a robust system of higher education with diverse programs.              

DECA

DECA is one of the biggest clubs/competitions in North America. It prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Through competitive events, leadership development, and real-world case studies, DECA helps students gain practical business skills. Students develop these problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, through regional, provincial and international competition opportunities.
