How To Get A Health Card

Private Healthcare Insurance

What’s Covered:

  •  Doctor visits, hospital services, and diagnostic tests are covered. Prescription drugs, dental, vision, and ambulance services are typically not covered.

Private Insurance

  • Many people opt for private insurance to cover medications, dental, vision, and other services not included in public healthcare.

Family Doctors and Walk-in Clinics

  •  It’s recommended to find a family doctor, but you can visit walk-in clinics for non-emergency care if needed.

Emergency Services

  • Emergency hospital care is free, and you can call 911 for emergencies.

Prescription Medications

  • Most prescription drugs are not covered by public healthcare. They can be purchased at pharmacies, often with private insurance.
